Haaland’s Diet: Liver, Heart, and Raw Milk Explained

Haaland’s diet gets attention because he has been linked to liver, heart, and raw milk.
Liver and heart are nutrient dense foods that can provide protein, iron, vitamin B12, and zinc.
The biggest difference between raw milk and regular supermarket milk is not just nutrition. It is safety.

Why people keep talking about Haaland’s diet

Erling Haaland is more than a goal scorer. His body, pace, and power are part of the story too.
When a player looks built for repeated sprints, contact, and a long season, people naturally want to know what he eats.

What gets mentioned most often online is not flashy sports food. It is usually simple, traditional, nutrient rich food such as:

  • liver

  • heart

  • raw milk

  • plain whole foods

Still, no single food creates an elite athlete.
Haaland’s strength is more likely the result of training, recovery, sleep, calorie intake, and genetics working together.

Why liver and heart come up so often

Organ meats are very concentrated in nutrients.
That is the main reason they show up in strength focused diets.

Possible benefits

Liver

  • high in protein

  • rich in iron

  • high in vitamin B12

  • also contains folate and vitamin A

Heart

  • high in protein

  • contains B vitamins

  • provides iron and zinc

  • often leaner than people expect

For an athlete who needs recovery and energy, these foods can make sense.
They are not magic. They are just nutrient dense.

Raw milk vs supermarket milk

This is the part that causes the most debate.

What raw milk is

Raw milk is milk that has not been pasteurized.
Pasteurization uses heat to reduce harmful bacteria.

What supermarket milk usually is

Most supermarket milk is:

  • pasteurized

  • sometimes homogenized

  • sometimes UHT treated for longer shelf life

Is the nutrition difference big

Usually not as big as people think.

  • Protein is still protein

  • Calcium is still there

  • Fat content depends on the product

So from a nutrition point of view, raw milk is not automatically much better.
Some people prefer the taste or the idea of a more natural product, but that does not prove a major health advantage.

What is the risk

The main concern with raw milk is the chance of harmful bacteria, including:

  • E. coli

  • Salmonella

  • Listeria

  • Campylobacter

In the US, the CDC warns about raw milk risks.
In the UK, the NHS also treats raw milk with caution.
In Hong Kong, the Centre for Food Safety similarly favours safer milk choices.

For children, pregnant people, older adults, and anyone with weaker immunity, raw milk is a much bigger risk than the possible nutrition gain is worth.

What major health groups generally say

For cancer prevention and general health, the American Cancer Society and the World Cancer Research Fund advise limiting red meat and processed meat.

That does not mean all animal foods are bad.
It simply means the whole diet matters more than one viral clip about one athlete’s food.

On milk, public health advice in the US, UK, and Hong Kong is much more cautious about raw milk than pasteurized milk.

So how does Haaland get his strength

The most likely answer is not one special drink or one special food.

It is probably a mix of:

  1. hard football training

  2. enough calories

  3. enough protein

  4. nutrient dense foods

  5. solid recovery habits

  6. natural physical gifts

So liver and heart may be part of the picture, and raw milk may be part of it too.
But the real story is the full routine, not one headline ingredient
